Playful Child Saves the Day

It’s mid-June, Phoenix, Az. 7:30 a.m.

I’ve been up for 2 hours. There’s a lot I want to accomplish today. My mind is bizzzzzy.

I’m trying to figure out a bookkeeping situation and can’t get it to balance. Frustration.

Do I have time to do XXXXX before I meet with a client? Racing mind.

It’s time to do my morning stretches.

As I do them, accompanied by a snuggling, talkative cat, I realize I’ve set an important aspect of me aside, pushed it away, ignored it.

My Playful Child.

I welcome her in.

My breathing relaxes.

My mind calms.

The cat stops talking.

I reconnect to my Authentic Self.

My day gracefully falls into place.

Thank you, Playful Child for calling this to my attention.

I am grateful for heeding her call.

Appreciation fills my heart and my mind.

My body, mind, spirit is ready for the day.

The day ahead looks bright, open and inviting.
