Casting Your Pearls Before Swine

I am both the Pearls and the swine.

"Do not cast your pearls before swine" is a way of saying don't waste your time and energy giving something of value to someone who has no understanding of its value. Another way of perceiving this saying, is to not focus your energy on being welcomed by a group or organization that cannot recognize or is threatened by your value.

After a few incidents, a.k.a wake-up calls, I chose to begin taking responsibility to explore this concept from within.

Did I have pearls? Most certainly! I am a Pearl.

Did I have swines? Most certainly! I had places within that didn't appreciate or know how to appreciate my "Pearlness."

Hmmm. How to transmute this and align it with Love?

The first action I took was to forgive myself for all my "swineness." To me this is about bringing into conscious awareness these non-conscious aspects of myself. Once this was done, transmuting the unconsciousness through self-forgiveness, there was more of my Beingness awakened, more Pearlness available.

Yes, I had cast my Pearls before swine, however I was also shown to look at all the time I was the swine who benefitted, or not, from others' Pearl castings. I forgave myself.

I was also shown how someone I trusted had encouraged me to cast my Pearls before swine because this trusted person benefitted from it. I forgave myself.

And how many times had I been the trusted one who directed the Pearl casting of another in order for me to benefit. I forgave myself.

As I went through my exploration, my intention was to notice where and over what I had miscast my Pearls. I found a belief system choosing to make swine-based choices (habits) instead of cultivating Pearl-based choices (habits). I share a few of my awarenesses:

Judgment

  •   Anytime I made any judgement about something or someone, I miscast my Pearls. I forgave myself.

Guilt

  •   Engaging in guilt was definitely a miscasting of my Pearls. As an example, when I chose to eat less-nutritious options, I miscast my Pearls. Once I had honored my body with the most nutritious choices, then I could choose something of lesser nutrition value and enjoy it, guilt free.

Time

  •   When I used my time constructively, I cast my Pearls before that which is valued.

Money

  •   Have I made swine-based money choices? Most certainly. I forgave myself. Yet, I have also made Pearl-based money choices. I embraced and celebrated them.

Once I began seeing the above and other patterns and transmuting them through self-forgiveness, I could more fully recognize, embrace, and appreciate my Pearls.

There were Pearls I had never considered were Pearls. I forgave myself for this lack of awareness of such great overlooked value.

There were Pearls I took for granted. I forgave myself.

And there were all the yet unseen, unfelt, and not yet revealed Pearls. I gave thanks and embraced them, looking forward for their reveal.

I invite the reader to embrace their Pearls, seen/unseen, known/unknown, and expand how their life can be more fully and joyfully lived.

Finally, fully embrace your inner swine. This is key to discovering what we believe that doesn't appreciate the value of our Pearls. They are really unacknowledged Pearls awaiting your unlocking them from this lack of acknowledgment, and to embrace, them, enjoy them, and share them.
